The thunderstorms stayed away long enough for the weekly Farmers Market to occur without anyone getting rained on. Held every Wednesday from mid-May through October, the market springs up in a wonderful park in Wilmington, Del., known as Rodney Square and features food and craft vendors -- and a musician under the big statue of Caesar Rodney on his horse.
Plenty of people were out for the lunchtime event, helped by early-afternoon weather that was better than forecast. Many stopped for a while at the tables and chairs near the music tent, and one person had a request for a gospel tune. Other than playing "Amazing Grace" to fulfill the request, all the songs at this performance were Dom's originals.
No break in the action, since it was only a two-hour gig.
