Library IV

The first of many Library IV scheduled dates occurred on a Saturday night. Though a large restaurant, the Library IV is partitioned into about half a dozen sectioned, each with the feel of a more intimate cafe. The live music takes place in the section containing the bar, some table seating, and a few TVs.
Library IV books solo musicians who perform almost exclusively covers of popular songs, so it was very flattering for Dom to be hired, since the venue managers knew he would play mostly his own material. Dom decided on a format for this show that will probably carry forward to his return bookings: Every set will include a Bob Dylan cover, a Bruce Springsteen cover, a blues cover and another cover, plus six of Dom's songs.
This show had a longer second set and shorter third set, because Dom was waiting for a thick, juicy Black Angus burger and to arrive before going on break. Dom put in his order a little too late into the second set, so he pulled a few songs from the third set into the extended second set while the thick, juicy Black Angus burger was still in transit. When the thick, juicy Black Angus burger made its much-anticipated appearance, Dom finished up with a short song ("When I Get Back") and had dinner. In the aftermath of the thick, juicy Black Angus burger, enough time remained for a half dozen more tunes.
