| June 28, 2008 Legends Gourmet Pizza Burlington, N.J. The last show of a busy June was Dom's first visit to a gourmet pizzeria with a musical flair. Legends Gourmet Pizza and Salads is located along historic High Street heading toward the waterfront in Burlington City. Inside, the restaurant features large pictures of classic music and pop-culture stars and a menu with specialty items named after many of those same entertainers. Dom made sure to include an occasional cover song by some of them (the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley). The prime dinner rush lasted long enough that Dom merged the first and second planned sets into a mega set that filled two hours and a few minutes more. Included were requests by one diner for songs by Johnny Cash and the Allman Brothers. Of course, "Cold Pizza" made the playlist, closing the mega set. The final set was all originals. Playlist: - - Set 1 - - Good Shepherd Sunday Say Hi to Angelo's Heartbreak Hotel (Elvis Presley cover) Lost Along the Way Geneseo Refugee (Tom Petty cover) Ain't So Small After All Eight Bars of Blues I Walk the Line (Johnny Cash cover) Prettiest Girl in the Bar Hugs and Kisses Wish You Were Here Like a Rollin’ Stone (Bob Dylan cover) Cat Out of Water Blow Away Ramblin' Man (Allman Brothers Wolf cover) Heartbeat Lullaby Walk You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (Beatles cover) Cold Pizza - - Set 2 - - The Song with the Cheesy Rhymes Bright, Full Moon Blueberry Wine Boat Halfway Gettin' So Big When I Get Back Click here to return to 2008 News & Shows |
