Dom's first performance at Painted Cottage occurred on the Saturday of a three-day Independence Day weekend. This new restaurant in the heart of Collingswood was surprisingly busy for a summer holiday, and also because it has only been about a month since the fashionable eatery added dinner hours. Owners Valerie and Jim are slowly but surely creating a nighttime buzz there, after succeeding with breakfast and lunch offerings and their highly touted Sunday jazz brunch.
"East Gibson Street Fourth of July" made its annual return to the playlist for this time of year.
