| July 19, 2008 Painted Cottage Collingswood, N.J. Haddon Avenue's newest dining spot was busier than it had been a couple of Saturdays ago (the Independence Day holiday weekend) -- a good sign for the restaurant! A few patrons even braved the mid-90s temperatures and humidity to dine on the covered deck. The air was plenty cool for those who chose to stay indoors. Dom had appeared on the WGLS radio show "The British Invasion / Beatles Brunch" earlier this Saturday morning, so he made sure to add a Beatles song to the playlist for the evening's performance. One show debut of a Dom original: "Stowing Away on a Train," about a stowaway on an old train (it's funnier if you recite it in a deadpan delivery). Playlist: - - Set 1 - - Makin' Good Time Lost Along the Way Walk Walls (Tom Petty cover) Ain't So Small After All Cold Pizza You've Got to Hide Your Love Away (Beatles cover) Blueberry Wine Eight Bars of Blues - - Set 2 - - Wish You Were Here Beginner's Luck Boat Desperado (Eagles cover) Stowing Away on a Train Here and Now with You My Friend Like a Rollin' Stone (Bob Dylan cover) The Song with The Cheesy Rhymes - - Set 3 - - Halfway Bright, Full Moon Lonelier to Stay The Way You Look Tonight (Frank Sinatra cover) Hugs and Kisses Blow Away Cat Out of Water Thunder Road (Bruce Springsteen cover) When I Get Back Click here to return to 2008 News & Shows |
