Painted Cottage
Collingswood, N.J.

Haddon Avenue's newest dining spot was busier than it had been a couple of Saturdays ago (the Independence Day holiday weekend) -- a good sign for the restaurant!  A few patrons even braved the mid-90s temperatures and humidity to dine on the covered deck.  The air was plenty cool for those who chose to stay indoors.

Dom had appeared on the WGLS radio show "The British Invasion / Beatles Brunch" earlier this Saturday morning, so he made sure to add a Beatles song to the playlist for the evening's performance.  One show debut of a Dom original:  "Stowing Away on a Train," about a stowaway on an old train (it's funnier if you recite it in a deadpan delivery).
