| May 16, 2009 Coffee Works Voorhees, N.J. The Rock Folk & Blues Revue made its Spring seasonal visit to Coffee Works on the middle Saturday of May, which was also Armed Forces Day. Dom made special mention of the holiday in both the Rock and Folk sets, preceding the playing of "When I Get Back" and "Proud of Him," both of which are on Dom's EP, Remember Me: New, Original Folk Music for the American Soldier. A chess group met at the coffeehouse during the same time as the live music, and about half a dozen chess players rotated through games at two tables. Since no one threw any chess pieces at Dom, we can only assume that Dom's songs are an adequate accompaniment to chess. Good to know these things.
