Dom's final scheduled gig of the summer occurred on a Thursday night at a seasonal haunt. The bar full for the dinner hours, and the TVs showed why the late summer is the best sports time of the year: opening night of the National Football League and the baseball pennant races. All told, it was a great setting for some bar music!

This was also the first week of the year for the public schools and either the first or second week for most colleges, so Dom selected "No Surrender" as one of the night's cover songs and made sure to highlight the opening lines (We busted out of class / Had to get away from those fools / We learned more from a three-minute record / Than we ever learned in school).
